Began as an intern and was held on after the intern program ended. Assist in preparing offer letters, follow up on any post hire actions, coordinate with pre-employment background check and drug testing companies. Handle new hire processes; including but not limited to the creation, presentation, mailing, or retrieval of new hire packages, quality control of completed new hire forms, and any associated communications or actions. Respond to questions and inquires related to HR forms from internal and external sources. Assists in processing personnel actions, payroll status changes, and employee action requests, such as new hire, pay changes, job title changes, etc.

The Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) Board of Directors approved a CARES Act Direct Assistance Program (DAP) for eligible shareholders. BSNC received $15 million (M) in federal CARES Act funding and developed the DAP program to provide needs-based assistance directly to shareholders. I provided support to this program by supporting the application process, which resulted in $15M successfully paid out to BSNC shareholders impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Compiled information for proposal fact sheets and other important documents, supported data gathering for sources sought requests and requests for information as well as past performance documents. Used Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to complete daily tasks. Completed trainings in the Business Development department and participated in public speaking and presenting topics.
