Pleasure fellows participate in a series of training sessions held online and facilitated by internal speakers - from The Pleasure Project team - and external ones, including speakers from international organizations and activists from different backgrounds and lived experiences. Pleasure fellows are then able to apply to funding within the Pleasure Fellowship to develop an innovative and sustainable project related to pleasure and SRHR. At its core, the Pleasure Fellowship is an opportunity for fellows to come together to build a community of pleasure and connect with each other.

2021: Compiled desktop research for "Afriqueer" (conceptual project)

Compiled and taught classes for the "Anthropology of Gender and Sexuality" postgraduate course: Class one: Sex, Sexualities and Sexual Subjectivities Class two: The Politics of Pleasure

Worked as a research assistant for Dr. Heidi van Rooyen, Executive Director of the Human and Social Development (HSD) unit of the HSRC (short-term contract). I was involved in starting up two main projects: 1. Community Dialogues: My tasks included: writing up minutes during the initial planning meetings; reading literature on the Intergroup Dialogue model; developing the model used; coordinating logistics with project facilitators; attending the six inter-racial dialogue sessions, typing up notes after every session. 2. On Colouredness projectMy tasks included: taking notes for the meetings; coordinating meetings with participants; creating templates of activities for meetings; writing the first draft of the concept note, as well as the abstracts for presentations. Additional tasks included: creating PowerPoint presentations, designing project reports, conducting desktop research.
