I am here to revolutionise science communication globally. Strategic communications accelerates research outcomes.Despite the fact that science and technology impacts every aspect of our lives, when the public wants to understand topics such as AI, climate technologies, agriculture and health, they often turn to the media for information, rather than universities, research institutes or STEM. Instead of relying solely on media coverage or promotional material, imagine if you were trusted as a source of information about your area of research expertise. What would this mean for your funding, influence, and philanthropy? My team at STEM Matters takes the randomness out of people finding you through compelling content strategies. Together let's change how the STEM sector engages with the public. As the CEO of STEM Matters, I bring my 25 years of experience in mainstream and science publishing to universities, researchers, and STEM organizations to help them successfully engage with the public, industry, government, and philanthropists, to increase awareness, influence, and funding.I am an expert in creating content, engagement, and communications strategies for the STEM sector, including scientists, entrepreneurs, universities, research institutes, government, and corporates.Media brands I have created In 2020, I launched The Brilliant - a global science communication publication. In 2004, I co-founded COSMOS Media, whereas I was the CEO for the first ten years. - We launched COSMOS in 2005, which became Australia's top-selling science publication and twice won magazine of the year. - We launched The Green Lifestyle Magazine in 2005.The company was recognised through 54 awards and commendations for the high quality of its publications, websites, science outreach programs, publishing and journalism. We created educational products to which 70% of Australia’s high schools and hundreds of overseas schools subscribed to reach more than 130,000 students. COSMOS was a game-changer for the science sector in Australia. Prior to the launch 99% of science magazine sales were to imported titles. We created the science media category in Australia.
