Research Assistant in a psychology lab at the University of Pittsburgh. Data coding, data sorting, recruitment and phone screenings for various projects. Started as a tutor for a research project that tests the effectiveness and mechanism of a reading intervention based on the Glass Analysis method (Glass, 1973).

I was a student intern for the Legal and Regulatory Compliance Team in the Office of Developmental Supports, Department of Human Services in Allegheny County. On this team, I worked on guardianship cases and guardianship tracking. I tracked guardianship to help determine when guardians are getting appointed to individuals and if they have a court order, and if the guardians are over the age of 60 to then establish a successor guardian. I was also involved with the LeCSI (Legal Connection, Support, and Intervention) Program within the LRC Team. This program works with individuals involved in the criminal justice system who have an intellectual disability and/or autism diagnosis. We help participants navigate the legal system, communicate with their attorneys and have a voice in their legal teams, attend court proceedings, understand and follow court orders, connect with human services and community resources, and access accommodations. I also tracked our active cases and kept up with paperwork involved.
