Currently taking the long way home after a two year stint in London. Hiking and eating my way through Europe, the U.S, Costa Rica, Chile and Argentina. Back in Hamilton (New Zealand) for Christmas, looking for an exciting role and a new challenge from January 2017.

I worked with a diverse range of internal clients at Ealing Council in a consultancy/account management capacity, helping to create and execute marketing strategies that aligned with the council's strategic priorities and liaised with suppliers for graphic design, print, web when outsourcing was required. I also contributed to pitching (successfully) to external partners that helped to bring revenue in to the council. Examples of internal clients: Employment and skills, arts and heritage, fostercare, environmental enforcement.

My responsibilities as Marketing and Communications Advisor for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences included:• Developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plan for the Faculty;• Developing and managing an annual budget;• Writing media releases and liaise with media on research and student stories;• Developing traditional, online, and integrated advertising campaigns to promote the faculty’s qualifications and programmes in conjunction with the central marketing team and the university’s advertising agency;• Writing for internal staff communications such as the university staff magazine and online e-news;• Creating and distribute e-newsletters for staff and students;• Producing and maintain brochures, posters, flyers, newsletters, research and career publications and graduate/student profiles for marketing purposes;• Maintaining web news and events content on the faculty website and liaise with web content manager to update pages, create web banners as needed;• Employing and overseeing the activities of a team of student ambassadors;• Creating dynamic content for and manage social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter and YouTube;• Coordinating faculty and university recruitment, student, research and staff events.

ForumPoint2 is a specialised conference, exhibition and event management company catering for many sized conference and public events across sectors.Key responsibilities:• Coordinated international and national conferences and events throughout New Zealand, working in a team and liaising with organizing committees;• Developed and worked to a budget and timeline;• Organised logistical aspects such as venue, technical, accommodations, sponsors, registration, speakers, travel, programme etc• Coordinated the marketing of the conference and developed the conference website and content for the website

Iconic annual summer arts festival in Hamilton run over two weeks at the Hamilton Gardens, featuring over 200 theatre, music, dance, film and literature performances from around the world.Key responsibilities:• Assisting with web content for the festival;• Creating a roster, training and managing a team of 40+ volunteers;• Assisting with the logistical side of planning and running the event;• Completing funding applications;• Assisting with the marketing and writing of media releases;• Managing the social media pages for the festival;• Assisting with putting the print and online programme together;
