As an Access Control Specialist, it is my duty to ensure the safeguard of information, rooms, and equipment within secured workspace areas. I document, report and keep records of security violations and incidents. I also manage badges and smartcards by issuing, renewing, confiscating and keeping an inventory. It is my responsibility to manage access control rosters, audit logs, while also creating, acknowledging and mitigating incidents through incident management tools. In addition, I train new employees who join our team and ensure they are confident to complete tasks independently.

As a Program Security Officer, I was responsible for conducting indoctrination presentations, briefing and debriefing personnel on Sensitive Compartmented Information, and providing guidance on in-processing procedures for incoming, out-processing, and transferring assignees at a government facility. I was also responsible for keeping personnel files and information up-to-date and providing general guidance on security questions and concerns.

As a Security Monitor at Fluor, I was responsible for monitoring contractors without the proper security clearance while they performed work at an assigned government facility. Working closely with contractors, I made sure that all work was completed in accordance with site standards and the scope of work. I also notified Project Managers and Construction Managers of the contractor's status as it pertained to their work schedule and deadlines. My attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively was key to ensuring the success of the projects I supported.
