1 Year teaching fellow-themed post:*Collaborated with other teaching fellows to design and deliver a teaching programme tailored to medical students placed at the hospital.* Set up the Princess Alexandra Surgical Skills sessions, a monthly session teaching basic surgical skills to junior doctors and medical students interested in surgery. * Received an award for Highly Commended Teaching.

Supporting the NHS staff during the second wave of the COVID 19 pandemic, with tasks such as documentation, dispensing medication, manual handling and safety checks.

Joined the communications team that worked closely with the Family Liaison Team. My role was to organise, book and set up online meetings between patients and relatives during the COVID-19 pandemic when hospitals had a no visitor policy. Programmes Starleaf and Zoom were used. We provided induction and training for new medical students joining the volunteering team and created posters for patients to humanise medicine during a stressful time for healthcare professionals.
