We have provided CBA services to many Integrated Water Management (IWM) plans in Victoria, as well as assessing implementation options for policy areas such as sea urchin management in Port Phillip Bay, and Nature-Based Solutions innovations in European cities.Business Cases: we provide our clients with rigorous and credible business cases, assembling economic and financial information, governance and policy context, and risk assessment information, for submission to public and private investors. We have developed numerous business cases for several water authorities and government departments across Australia.Policy and Programme Evaluation and Impact Assessment: we have long experience in evaluating projects and programmes in Australia and in Europe, from formal evaluations of the EU’s Water Framework Directive and Biodiversity Strategy to 2020, to evaluations of the NSW Nature Conservation Trust Revolving Fund Programme and Victorian management structure of marine invasive species.Market-based instruments: we have expertise in the design, implementation and review of MBIs in water and biodiversity areas, including reverse-auctions, revolving funds, offsets, and water quality trading markets.Economic valuation: we have estimated values for aspects of water and environmental assets that are difficult to quantify, such as the heat-reduction benefits of urban greening, the value of an additional playground in an urban environment, and the value to households of having access to water recycling infrastructure.
