Kym Lackmann established Luxe Domain Pty Ltd in 2013 having recognised that many of her clients were selling their large family homes to move into new or freshly restored apartments or townhouses. She found that her clients' apartments not only required new furniture and soft furnishings but her clients were struggling and stressed with the task of sorting and selecting which of their items to take with them. It was at this point that Kym decided to help them distribute, sell or donate the excess items so that she and her clients could concentrate on designing their new homes around their precious items. By blending these pieces with new and contemporary furniture she was able to breath new life into the old. Previously clinically bare apartment spaces would come to life with texture and warmth, transitioning into elegant and inviting homes.The studio's first international commission, in Milan, Italy, was completed in 2015.The long standing relationships that Kym and her team have with their clients reflect their commitment to delivering a high standard of service."Last year we moved from our 4 bedroom house in Sydney to a 2 bedroom plus study apartment here in Melbourne.
