I have worked in the emergency service industry for the last 26 years (911 dispatch). I loved helping people but the stress of my work took its toll on my health and wellbeing. I resigned as my health won out over my desire to help others at that time.After resigning I knew I wanted to travel. However, not just for relaxation and renewal but with a purpose and a meaning to enrich my life and to grow and fulfill my need to help others. I went to Thailand in the summer of 2015 where I worked and volunteered with abused and very sick elephants and refugee children. This experience changed my life in so many ways I cannot even begin to note them. I also ventured into the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico in December of 2015 to help orphaned Mayan children, I immersed myself in local culture and cuisine and took Spanish language classes. I have concluded that I want others to achieve this enlightenment. The strong desire to help people, the desire to try to change the world, and the desire to learn from the most unique experiences have led me to this decision. I want to dedicate my time and my efforts in helping others cultivate relationships beyond anything they could do at home. Help to improve well being through travel & deliver a meaningful travel experience. I know travelling, learning, changing, growing all while on vacation is possible and so rewarding .
