I am an organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a friendly demeanor and and passion for centering clients' needs to meet team goals. Upon earning my certification to become a Paralegal, I am hoping to seek and faithfully maintain a full-time position as a Paralegal/Legal Research Assistant at a Law firm, that offers opportunities for growth; where I can utilize my varied skill sets and build upon my existing knowledge to strengthen my experience before I continue my studies to become a Lawyer and build into my career as a legal professional.A little bit about myself, I am originally from Inglewood, CA and come from a social justice, community oriented background. Throughout my years in undergrad, I relentlessly served as a community leader, challenging institutional policy with the sole purpose of providing resource and service to people. I am passionate about working with and helping people; bridging gaps of opportunity to where it reaches those in neglected or underresourced areas and communities and developing plans that position them in a place of power vs dependency. I enjoy the challenge of problem solving and conflict resolution, as well as being able to take on leadership responsibilities. As a professional candidate, I am flexible and essentially a sponge for knowledge and research. Aside from what's mentioned on my profile here, I have worked in the public sector, having done jobs in Education, Healthcare, and Hospitality, Financial Banking and Institutions, as well as more government related jobs, doing grassroots organizing, coalition building, policy strategizing, and non-profit development. Having experience in these fields has given me a very strong skill set, all of which have allowed me to compartmentalize essential communication skills for working with people of varied identities and thoroughly understanding what it means and looks like to evaluate a problem and develop creative avenues and alternatives for servicing that issue. All of my real world experiences have only further fed my desire to work in the legal field, having seen vertical, systemic challenges that disproportionately affect affinity groups, people (individually), and communities altogether.
