About Kyra Lopez, Ms
Hi everyone, a little bit about me well first and foremost I love to run! I was a Division 1 Cross Country and Track athlete throughout my undergraduate and my graduate studies. I like to make time to run everyday and I hope that never changes. I have spent many years involved in research starting with every summer during my undergraduate years. I did not have much time for undergraduate research during the semester due to the nature of being a student-athlete but I spent every summer working toward building experience in research. I have had the privilege of working at Scripps Translational Science Institute that first introduced me to clinical research while participating in the Type 1 Diabetes Exchange (T1D) and implementing new Continuous Glucose Monitoring equipment for patients with Type 2 Diabetes. I was able to work with community outreach while helping the Pilot "Dulce Mothers" Project that was ongoing while I was there. I have had the privilege to be both a Boise State Bronco and a Virginia Tech Hokie so Go Broncos! Go Hokies! If you're interested in learning more, please feel free to connect and message me.
