The Associate Director is responsible for managing both the Northern and Southern California property management teams. The Associate Director provides leadership in developing systems, policies and procedures, performance expectations, and training to ensure top performing teams and housing that meets the needs of our residents. The Associate Director works closely with the Regional Managers and Asset Manager to monitor portfolio financial performance and to ensure regulatory and leasing compliance. The Associate Director supports accomplishment of department objectives, BC strategic plan goals and fidelity to our mission of service to residents and service providers.

• Responsible for the management of more than 100 licensed residential care homes for the benefit of persons with developmental disabilities. • Lead a team of 17 staff. Includes Property Managers, a Regional Facilities Manager, a team of roving Maintenance Technicians, and a department Program Coordinator. • Promote a person-centered property management culture.• Ensure that staff are adequately trained to perform their duties. • Implement effective emergency policies and procedures, including on-call staffing for 24/7 response.• Create budgets, review monthly profit & loss statement, balance sheet, and other financial reports.• Approve accounts payable, review bids and contracts, ensure funding is approved for expenditures.• Ensure proactive compliance with California State DDS, Community Care Licensing, Regional Centers, lender requirements, and more.• Foster collaboration with Brilliant Corners’ departments and agency partners.

Manage 43 residential care homes for persons with physical and/or development disabilities. We work in partnership with licensed care providers, the Golden Gate Regional Center, and CA Department of Developmental Services to provide quality homes where residents receive personalized support, age in place, and participate within a community.Responsibilities: • Supervise Peninsula Maintenance Technician’s.• Hiring Manager: Created one-month onboard plan, and training material.• Vet vendors and acquire bids from trades ranging from contractors, plumbers, electricians, remediation, and more.• Annual compliance projects and meticulous record keeping.• Review of accounting reports to stay on budget and ensure cashflow.• Some asset management including tax exemptions.

• Created a database of grants to advance NCH’s mission.• Produced content for newsletters, advocacy campaigns, and national email subscribers.• Conducted extensive research on statistics and U.S. policies to modernize their website.• Finished their organizing manual, a tool filled with statistics and census data cited by partner agencies across the U.S. • Led communications for Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week. This included content creation like blog posts, as well as memes for social media, which received several thousand shares.• Organized a sock donation of over 100,000 socks to shelters and charities across the county.
