Aiding in scanning several thousand patient charts to successfully transition the company into becoming currently paperless. I get to assist the veterinarian and my teammates with treatments that the patients need- vaccinations, antibiotics, dental scaling, dental cleaning under anesthesia, spay/neuter, various surgeries like lumpectomies, anesthetic monitoring, IV catheters, IV fluids, nail trims, blood work, lab work, x-rays, ultrasounds, maintain the controlled substances logbook, and diagnoses for medical problems/injuries. I also assist the front desk when needed, from confirming and setting up appointments to rooming clients when they arrive for their appointments. It's a joy to be able to help owners and their pets and I enjoy being able learn something new everyday!

I am currently aiding the company in their transition to becoming paperless- lots of scanning to be done! During my volunteer days, I get trained to do blood work and assist the vet techs as well as the veterinarian with annual exams, surgeries, medical problems, vaccinations, and restraints.

Responsibilities included: checking on every mouse and rat cage for adequate food and bedding/enrichment; cleaning and washing cages and bins to keep the barrier facility clean for the various research studies; setting up cycles for breeding animals as well as weaning and weighing.

-Take sitting and standing blood pressures for the patients as well as during their workout session, assist them with putting on their EKG monitors, take their heart rates, adjust the exercise machines to match that of the patients' condition as well as enough to challenge them. Non-patient responsibilities include aiding my supervisor and nurses with clerical side projects as well as putting in patient packets into patients' binders.-Two 4-hour shifts a week.

My responsibilities included assisting the supervisor at the headquarters with miscellaneous clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry; participated in a research study by going to an elementary school to film a classroom undergoing a study treatment to test for the effectiveness of the RedRover Readers program; entering data on the students' responses on the assessments.

Responsibilites were: Aiding the occupational therapist with filing, cleaning, setting up, transporting, and assisting any therapist's patients with their exercises for four hours every week for ten weeks. I interacted with patients to ensure their comfort and make them feel welcome.

My responsibilities included giving calls to alumni as well as parents, staff, and faculty to update their demographic information, keep them up to date with events revolving UC Davis, and ask for donations to fund the numerous resources offered on campus.
