Kyra Dean is currently studying at Boise State University and will receive her Bachelor’s in Business Administration in May 2020. Kyra got accepted into the vocal performance program at Boise State her freshman year, but then decided to venture into other majors and continue music on the side. She then tried psychology, then nursing, but found through her management position that she loved business and working with numbers. However, these different paths made her a more well-rounded person and she gained many skills from each field of study. Kyra has spent her college career as a member of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) where she brainstorms with other members ways to improve living conditions for on campus residents. In this club, she also participates in volunteer work such as adopt-a-road and on-campus events. She also sang the National Anthem for numerous Boise State games all four years of her time at the university. All of Kyra’s jobs have focused on customer satisfaction. She got her start in retail as a teenager and continued this industry in college. She received a promotion at a clothing boutique and received a management position, where she worked in this position for two years. In this role, she learned how to coach employees, delegate tasks, increase productivity, and drive sales. She then ventured out to try a new career opportunity as a hostess at Tupelo Honey. She has since enriched her knowledge in problem solving, customer service, and training employees.
