As the Social Media and Communications Intern for the Iowa Heartlanders, I manage digital engagement and communications to support the team’s brand and connect with fans. My role involves:Content Creation: Designing graphics, producing video content, and crafting social media posts that highlight game moments, player highlights, and upcoming events, fostering a lively digital community.Analytics Tracking: Utilizing Came Frame Codes to track post analytics and link directly to our ticketing sites, helping optimize content performance and audience targeting.Press and Game Coverage: Writing press releases, game previews, and post-game recaps to deliver timely and engaging coverage of Heartlanders' news and events.

In the Fall 2024 semester, I am instructing SRM 1060: Contemporary Issues in Sports. My responsibilities include leading four discussion sections, assisting with grading, facilitating presentations, preparing students for essays, and overseeing exams.

As part of my role, I will manage all social media platforms, with a primary focus on Instagram and TikTok. I will supervise our Social Media Associate, offering support with posting, graphic design, and analytics. Additionally, I will monitor and report on our monthly analytics and growth across all platforms, ensuring consistent posting.

During my time with the creative team at Illinois State University, I acquired both on-field and administrative experience. In-office, my responsibilities encompassed preplanning social media content, including copywriting, photo editing, creating Instagram reels and TikToks, and overseeing student athlete accounts. At events, I managed Instagram stories, capturing in-game moments and engaging with fans and athletes through photography and videography.

During this role, I crafted captivating graphics utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to promote recruitment for the Women’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. These designs were instrumental in attracting prospective players to the programs.

During my term as President & Founder of Sports Girls Club, I established an organization to help encourage, support and motivate women who plan to work in sports! I planned 26 meetings and two field trips, managed an exec board of 5-10 members, recruited 20-30 members from 2022-2024, increased instagram followers by 355 and established payments of dues.

At Campus Ink I work with team members across the country as a skilled designer with Adobe illustrator and Photoshop. I sell merchandise that I have marketed, conceptualized, designed, quoted, and delivered. Through this job, I get to work on the creative and business side of selling apparel both on and off my college campus.

I used Adobe illustrator to make designs for banners for Alpha Gamma Delta. I would then project this design on the banners to create the design with paint!
