Hi! I'm Kyriana Foster, a mass communications alum from Northwest Missouri State University.After working in retail printing for almost 1.5 years, I accepted an opportunity with KC Blueprint, a company that specializes in construction plans and documents and, during the time of my employment, held the printing contract with the government of the city of Kansas City, Missouri. As an office administrator, I was responsible for accepting and processing incoming orders, coordinating deliveries, and producing invoices for local and prominent construction companies and the city of Kansas City. In 2017, I joined the Marketing Department at Mid-Continent Public Library, Missouri's largest library system, as the Marketing Support Assistant. I was promoted to Marketing Project Coordinator in December 2022.My role at MCPL covered a variety of responsibilities. I coordinated with my manager and my team's graphic designers on recurring and new campaigns and projects; facilitated the production process of digital and print marketing requests from all branches and departments, from start to implementation; served as the point person of institutional marketing knowledge for the Marketing team, branch staff, and department staff; built relationships with branch and department staff; managed the creation of the quarterly programming publication, MCPL's Program Guide (formerly known as Beyond the Books); clarified project information with Library staff and relayed project details to our graphic designers; proofread public-facing documents and maintained MCPL's written and visual style guidelines; and assisted with baseline graphic design work as needed. In November 2023, I joined the Netsmart Creative Team within the Corporate Marketing Department. I continue to coordinate projects between internal requesters, my manager, and my team of graphic designers, while also facilitating the development of larger scale projects. I look forward to growing in this new role.I work hard and learn quickly, and I approach my work with maximum effort. I strive to be quick-thinking and adaptive; the opportunity to gain new knowledge inspires me.
