I sit within the professional conduct team at the RCVS, providing advice to individual veterinary surgeons/nurses, their respective practice teams, the public, and industry/regulatory stakeholders. I am the secretary to the Certification sub-committee who report into the RCVS Standards Committee which means I am often the first point of call for veterinary certification matters and in particular, Export Health Certificates.Prior to becoming a regulatory solicitor, I was a dispute resolution solicitor. I trained and qualified in investor-state arbitration (predominantly in the oil and gas sector) after many years working as a paralegal. In my spare time, I have set up and run a number of not for profits and CICs designed to enrich the lives of LGBTQ+ people in terms of access to community and networks, and better inclusion in organisations and small businesses.
