• Project Management, estimating, cost analysis, vendor coordination, scheduling, project oversight for construction and transportation for design, maintenance and construction for marine structures and facilities such as transport jigs and equipment, I-Beams, Metal covers, ladders, walkways• Performs finite element analysis (strength calculations, 2-D/3-D modeling) for structural components related to all shipyard transportation, storage and maintenance projects• Performs initial studies of the feasibility of the ship projects according to the shipyard technical possibilities and projected outcomes• Creates lifting and rigging drawings for subassemblies, sections and grand blocks using structural analysis and any equipment over 10 tons, within the shipyard• Manages all special projects for transportation with regard to lifting, storage, transportation and installation using the goliath gantry crane, kirows, sisu’s, Terex cranes and other equipment• Defines optimal utilization of shipyard facilities for each existing and upcoming ship project• Defines all needed structures and jigs for each ship project in accordance with international occupational, health, hazard and safety rules and regulations and prepares the needed documentation for the sub-products’ transportation• Prepares needed scaffolding drawings for production needs during construction• Creates and supports the building method process for each phase and workspace• Creates initiatives for further production investments within the shipyard• Creates and follow up on transportation design plans and feedback from other departments• Coordinates with shipyards design and production departments and detail planners

•Perform basic and detail design processes for assigned systems•Design systems for areas of the vessel to include calculations, drawings, DCNs and equipment selection.•Analyze product and/or equipment specs and performance requirements•Evaluate feasibility of designing new or modifying equipment or facilities.•Coordinate/assist manufacturing, building, installation or testing of equipment systems and assigned area of vessel.•Interface with ship owner and Class to resolve technical issues•Develop work packages for Planning and Production Departments
