I report on local government in Minneapolis, St. Paul and the Twin Cities metro.

I cover education in Los Angeles, focusing primarily on the L.A. Unified School District and the city's charter school sector. I also work as a fill-in host on KPCC-FM news shows, including AirTalk, All Things Considered and Morning Edition. My work appears both on the radio and on LAist.com, the former Gothamist LLC-owned news site SCPR acquired in 2018. I was promoted to senior reporter in Feburary 2019.

I cover the issues facing kids and the policies impacting Washington's schools for NPR member station KPLU (since renamed KNKX).

I cover education in Indiana as part of a unique collaboration between NPR in Washington, DC, and WFIU Public Radio in Bloomington, Ind. I produce broadcast content sent to a network of nine public radio stations across Indiana and write a blog emphasizing computer-assisted reporting to demonstrate the impacts of education policy.
