Delivered $47M direct material productivity savings through reduced lead times during a raw material price inflation of $24M. - Decreased cost of failure by 68% (from $2.2M in 2004 to $685K in 2006) through the institution of a consistent issue resolution process consisting of Containment, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, and Preventative Action. Increased defect detection capability by 558% (from 341 defects in 2004 to 2,242 defects in 2006) through the design and implementation of appropriate escaping defect detection tools based on assessment of each business.

- Led the transfer of manufacturing and engineering technologies with adherence to export control guidelines for the GE-Liming Joint Venture business as part of a local content strategy of China Bundle Buy. Created and presented technical training materials for GE Energy’s 9F technology Gas Turbine Combustion components and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Facilitated procurement and qualification of CNC machines, special processes, inspection, and assembly equipment, as well as tooling and fixturing. - Delivered synergy savings of $9M by utilizing GE Gas Turbines’ experienced workforce in precision machining and special processes while addressing GE Aircraft Engines’ need for a second manufacturing source through coordination of top-level cross-functional/divisional business leaders. - Facilitated an agreement, through financial and accounting analyses, to perform GE Wind Energy’s Wind Turbine Drive Train tests at GE Gas Turbines, with operating cost savings of $1.1M for Wind Energy while avoiding equipment impairment costs of $5.6M for Gas Turbines. - Led Direct Material Productivity programs for GE Energy’s Steam Turbine blades, resulting in $4.5M of savings - validated by reductions of 60% cycle time, 55% Direct Materials cost, and 24% overhead costs – through application of near net forgings and its impact on machine centers.

- Partnered with senior business leaders and customers to outline strategic goals and formulate actionable organizational work plans for GE’s first customer value initiative to deliver $505M in customer value through Operation & Maintenance, power sales, and fuel savings. - Managed and led GE Global Research Center scientists and analysts, GE Gas Turbine Combustion and Hot Gas Path design engineers, and IT consultants with a budget of $33M to commercialize a suite of web-based tools designed to assist with end customers’ margin enhancement efforts. - Facilitated monthly trip (turbine shutdown) avoidance workshops with technical and commercial functions to analyze anomalies at eight sites worldwide.

- Provided design engineering support for rotor assembly and machining of existing product lines to Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Services globally. - Developed Materials Review Board (MRB) manuals with new acceptance, rework, and repair limits by conducting Design for Manufacturability studies with Manufacturing and Quality. - Corrected and enhanced Test and Design requirements of GE Gas Turbine components through completion of 15 Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) projects, delivering over $700K in savings.
