Launched products to empower authors to connect with their fans and scale marketing of their books, including Kindle Giveaways and Author Q&A.

Key member of the team that negotiated and closed the sale of Goodreads to Amazon in 2013. Developed Goodreads' business plan. Built the finance, analytics, and operations teams. Launched a personalized book discovery site. Sold Discovereads to Goodreads in 2011. Designed and built a machine-learning engine which now powers Goodreads’ book recommendations.

Designed a state of the art real estate valuation engine (“zestimates”) by applying machine-learning techniques on real estate data for 60 million homes. Project managed the technical launch of Zillow.com.

Designed an industry standard API between Expedia’s booking engine and hotels’ reservations systems, enabling Expedia to support complex yield management systems and sell hotels' last room available. Led 13 teams to build a hotel inventory and booking engine for Expedia and migrate Hotels.com onto the platform.
