The Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County serves hundreds of at-risk youth throughout Hopkinsville, and in satellite programs in other towns within Christian County, by providing tutoring, character-building, leadership, and arts programs. These programs engage the youth in ways they would otherwise never experience, and the BGC hopes to inspire these youth to work toward fulfilling lives. Our youth are our most important asset, and the BGC works tirelessly to help them achieve their dreams.

I have a private civil practice in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. A Hopkinsville native, I immediately began developing practice areas in contract and debt collection, domestic (family) law with matters of divorce and child custody, estate planning (wills; living wills; and various power of attorney forms), matters of real estate, forming corporations and non-profit entities (on both state and federal levels) and drafting by-laws and other corporate/board policies. Finally, though not a focus of my practice, I have been called upon to represent clients in administrative proceedings in both OSHA and EEOC agency claims.The Westerfield Law Office currently represents a variety of clients with legal needs that are equally as varied. Clients include individuals, couples and families, both local and regional corporate entities, as well as non-profit entities.Corporate clients include companies in the following industries: Retail and Wholesale oils/lubricants, funeral services, financial institutions, collections, general contracting and construction, commercial printing services, and various non-profit entities.When not handling civil matters, I also practice as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney (felony prosecutor) which affords me more courtroom experience than most of my contemporaries. While working as a prosecutor, I am not available for criminal defense work, but this permits me to focus entirely on the development of my private civil practice.

Work at the Commonwealth's Attorney office includes the full-time prosecution of felony cases within the jurisidiction of the office. I presently have approximately 126 active cases, and have juggled as many as 475 active files, to prepare for jury trials or other pre-trial disposition. My work involves coordination between a multitude of law enforcement agencies, county and statewide, as well as victims/families, and finally, the ever-competent defense bar.
