My roles at the fort valley state university consist of constructing lesson plans, guiding students through lessons and mentoring as each student needs.

I am a participant in collaborative planning, professional development, and peer on peer training. Weekly my agenda is to develop creative ways to engage, educate, and facilitate learning while using innovative practices encouraged by supportive qualitative and quantitative data necessary in a 21st century global community of young minds. A position and responsibility I take great privileged in. It is my duty to ensure that each of my students receive the highest quality and equitable education I can ensure.Collaborative planning: Is a weekly activity that provides opportunities to discuss and explore various strategies to support students. Our meetings include departmental staff whom review our pacing guides for up-coming lesson and plan activities that support the needs of our students. Professional development: Provides unique training that outlines a number of job related duties. Colleagues receive a weekly news letter and meet monthly to discuss the our objectives for the future. Educators from various counties engage with each other to study the data, and relate said data to successes and failures as it relates to student outcomes. Leader In Me (Adult Learning Models): Following a list of data proven support strategies for improving workplace relations and self-care among all employees. Weekly, I am tasked with selecting and constructing a presentation to be disseminated by email to all staff within my local unit of administration.

Coaching staff: Provides continual support to staff on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. At each interval staff is provided with expectations relating to company policies, and objectives. These objectives are explained in a number of methods (i.e. training modules, classes, workshops, and employee meetings. Mentor-ship and Promotion Recommendation: Employees are evaluated monthly, with the opportunity to be promoted within six or twelve months. Mentor-ships are extended to employees who demonstrate leadership and possess company qualities as demonstrated in their work performance. Employees receive personal feedback, instructions, and accountability tracing charts to guide their progress toward promotion. Qualitative / Quantitative Maintenance: Each week I am task with visiting three to five locations within my region. Upon arrival I examine the location to ensure grounds are clean and properly maintained. Inside the facility is observed and notations are made where improvements are needed. Product quantity is then audited to ensure that numbers are within the proper margins and verified by store management daily. Signage is checked to ensure that the appropriate promotions are displayed for customer's.

Regional Support Specialist: Coaching and mentoring staff withing my assigned region. Staff reports to me as first in line of the chain of command. Recruiting: I am in charge of recruiting managers who I deem as viable future employees. These individuals are vetted through a full process that involves interviewing, data assessments, collection of background information and beneficial to company brand. Training: General, assistant, and shift managers receive personalized training on a continual basis. Staff are given weekly deliverable's that serve to ensure employee accountability as consistency across my region. Some of these materials include, service boards, daily agenda worksheets, weekly maintenance checks, assigned station duties, and daily check list.
