Granta Design was a spin-out of Cambridge University (Engineering Department). It was acquired by the software simulation market leader Ansys in 2019.Founded by Prof Mike Ashby, Granta helped hundreds of engineering enterprises and universities to develop and apply material intelligence to make better, greener and safer products- Promoted every year through all rankings from Account Manager to Management.- Consistently on target: most successful in new business development at universities and research centres- Ran workshops and lectures on materials selection at: MIT, Cambridge, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Berkeley, and many more- Sold in almost all USA states- Sat at dinners executives, astronauts, White House representative and even Times 100 leaders. I even hold a real Nobel prize in my hand!- Experienced the company growth from a Cambridge start-up like business to a successful market leader with almost 200 employees, world-class processes and offices in several countries, up to the acquisition from the American simulation world leader Ansys Inc.
