I am an extremely dedicated, experienced and passionate, Nurse Leader, with over 20, cumulative years, in the Surgical arena. I love building teams that are just as passionate about the surgical and perioperative departments. I want to ensure that the patient is always receiving high-quality, personable and compassionate care, by treating them like family, when in the Surgical settings.I believe in leadership succession planning and excited to grow and develop new leaders in the departments. Encouraging the team members to return to school, earn a new certification, or challenge them to a new role, it is always exciting,for me ,to see them bloom into the Leaders I know they can be. Over the past 10 years, I have had the opportunity to open a hospital, and have been involved in 4 hospital acquisitions that led to the transition of the new managements EMR, Mission, Vision, Values Policies and Procedures, successfully. I have also been directly involved in Hospital Surveys that included, TJC, AAAHC, DNV, and CIHQ, with 0 variances, in all of the Surgical Services Departments.My areas of expertise, are Direct Leadership over the OR, Preop, PACU, Pre-Admission Testing, and Sterile processing departments, with regards to complete responsibility of employees, daily operations, policy and procedure, training, education, and accountability. I am also capable of Circulating and Scrubbing multi-specialties, procedures, that include, Orthopedics, Total Joints, Sports Medicine, Podiatry, Vascular, C-Sections, General, Genitourinary, Urology, EENT, Interventional Pain, Ophthalmology, and Robotics.
