L. Stephen Wright, Jr., a shareholder, is the senior member of the firm’s Matrimonial and Family Law Group. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he received his B.A. from Samford University and his J.D., cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law. Wright was selected for membership in Phi Alpha Delta. He is a Curia Honoris member, Cumberland School of Law. Wright is admitted to the Alabama State Bar. His memberships include the Birmingham Bar Association, where he served on the Executive Committee, the Domestic Relations Committee, and the Family and Juvenile Courts Procedures Committee; and the Alabama State Bar (Family Law Section).Wright is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors, and is certified as a mediator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Wright served as president of the Academy’s Alabama Chapter Mr. Wright was selected as Lawyer of the Year by the BLSA. Mr. Wright is also a fellow in the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Alabama Academy of Mediators.Wright and his wife, Jane, live at Highland Lake. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and gardening.
