I'm a Director of Photography with Brazilian and American roots, active in fiction, documentary and commercials. Based between Berlin and Los Angeles, I've worked fluidly throughout Europe and the United States, comfortable in a variety of languages and cultures. My portfolio includes theatrical films, TV movies, series, and short formats that have been seen at festivals like Cannes, Tribeca, and Palm Springs, as well as international television networks. I've collaborated with commercial clients like Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Beats by Dre, and Nike. Whether on large-scale productions or intimate, run-and-gun shoots, I adapt to various cinematic styles, though my work consistently reflects a sensitivity and emotionality in how I capture people and their surroundings. Along the way, I’ve been honored to receive a few awards!In today's exciting new era of AI, I’m enthusiastic about exploring the possibilities generative tools bring to professional filmmakers, while continuing to champion the uniquely human-driven craft of cinema. Since 2015, I've taught masters-level cinematography courses at UCLA's Extension program, and more recently, I've started training future filmmakers on integrating AI into their workflows.
