I have rich experience in Infrastructure and Energy Projects, Project Finance and Banking and advise India’s leading corporate and financial institutions on infrastructure projects and banking and finance deals, having a particular expertise relating to regulatory aspects of major energy projects. I advise leading banks, financial institutions and private credit providers as well India’s largest corporates on a broad range of transactions including structured lending, corporate debt restructuring, strategic debt restructuring and recovery of loans and investments and insolvency proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.I have also acted on a number of landmark transactions, including advising the Indian lenders on the restructuring of the Dabhol Power Project (2001-2005), have advised the syndicate of lenders including State Bank of India, International Finance Corporation, Asian Development Bank and other national and international financial banks/ agencies in the 4000 MW Mundra Ultra-mega Power Project (2008) and advised the Committee of Creditors of Bhushan Power and Steel Limited in Swiss Ribbons vs. Union of India matter which became a landmark judgment which lays down important principles under IBC (2019).
