At Temraza, I gained profound knowledge about the couture industry in Egypt. I assisted in prepping for their annual summer event by developing invitations, press releases and look-book for the collection being released there. I also gave a go at merchandising and re-organizing the store to promote the new Temraza summer collection, as well as set up the window display for the flagship.

Along side the Full Potential CEO, Sara Azmoudeh, we developed a project called ‘our voices - اصواتنا':The meaning behind it is simple: 99% of the women in Cairo have experienced sexual assault (SA) but hardly anyone knows about and until recently, no one was talking about. Almost every single one of my friends has experienced a form of SA. Yet, they suffer in silence. All because we live in a society that would rather make excuses for sexual predators and blame victims than accept the reality of what is happening.I don't think Arab girls should ever doubt whether they are dressed appropriately or should ever be nervous to get into a car service. Girls shouldn't be taught how to dress but instead boys should be taught how to keep it in their pants. I don't care how long it takes to achieve the goal of living in a world without this fear hanging over girls heads but I'm willing to try and decrease it.The two main goals of the project were to:1. Shed light on the reality of SA in the SWANA region and the #MeToo movements that are beginning to take place as a result.2. Build a community of like minded individuals, dedicated to speaking out against SA.I like to think of it as a safe online-space, where victims are believed and never blamed. Because it shouldn't take experiencing SA to fight against it.
