About Dr. Lequisha Brown-Joseph

Dr. Lequisha Brown-Joseph is a native of New Orleans, LA. Dr. LBJ has a Ph. D in Curriculum and Instruction and also holds a B.S. in Science Education, M.A. in Urban Education, and an M. A. in Educational Administration. Dr. LBJ has been teaching for over 20 years, K-Higher Education. Dr. Brown-Joseph has taught in two school districts in America, Orleans Parish Schools in New Orleans, LA, and Barstow Unified School District (BUSD) in Barstow, CA. Dr. LBJ taught pre-Katrina in New Orleans as a Special Education, middle, and high school science teacher. She currently lives and teaches in Barstow in CA where she serves as science department chair, CR-PBIS coordinator, and a coach for several athletic sports. Early in 2009 she add online teaching to her agenda and currently serves as an Associate Faculty for the University of Phoenix and contributing faculty at Walden University. Dr. LBJ teaches teachers and chairs doctoral learners. She plans to continue developing her research skills and techniques, develop alternatives for special populations and stand at the forefront of developing diverse curricula and instructional strategies for all learners. She recently completed a Fellowship with Walden University where she conducted an applied research project on black townships in America. She plans to publish her findings to add to the existing body of knowledge available.Dr. Brown-Joseph is the founder and President of The Learning Lab (TLL).
