I am currently a full-time psychology professor at Florida Southwestern State College.

I write educational lessons in psychology and sociology for students looking to increase their knowledge of various concepts, such as emotional development and parent-child relationships.

Provided direct counseling/therapy services to students who suffer from learning, behavioral, and emotional disabilities, as well as students who are at-risk. I served on the administrative team, establishing marketing material, program development, and on-going communication with families and community members.

I worked as a counselor at a drop-out recovery and prevention program for young adults ages 16-21 who either have previously dropped out of school and are returning to pursue their education or are current high school students desiring an alternative program to the traditional high school curriculum.

I managed a newly formed youth substance abuse outpatient program to battle the growing war with youth and substance abuse. I enjoyed this position because rather than focusing on the pathology of substance abuse and addiction, I emphasized the behaviors and thinking behind SA and other behaviors youth exhibit during these trying years. Also, and more importantly, I emphasized the family dynamic as a reason for SA and also as the solution for abstinence.

Provided information and referral to the public regarding human and social service agencies and programs within our community.

I supervised a group home facility caring for adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses. My specific home had young adults with disorders ranging from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Asperger's to Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I also was involved on the administrative level and assisted both vice president and president in day-to-day activities.
