- LAN refresh/upgrade project for Bombardier Aero. scope of project: delivery of 1500 switches for Canada, US and Mexico- Documentation , diagram analysis for site-reengineering of network infrastructure of all sites- Configure all switches at every level: access, distribution & core on a Layer-2 to Layer-3 model- Configure new Catalyst 6500 chassis in VSS mode- Prepare new documentaion, diagram analysis after client meetings, create impact-analysis to reduce the risk of interruption during installation window, validate redundancy- Prepare required and minimum equipment lists before each window installation (number of switches, SFP's/GBIC, power supplies,etc.)- Prepare the optic fiber deployment sheet to assess the number of new fiber connections needed with new connectors, because of new patch panel and single-mode fiber runs installations- Prepare the new migration strategy to follow during the installation window, ensure Layer-2 and proper route redistribution is validated before shutdown of 1st redundant chassis- For access switches, prepare a 24-hour config file to validate recent changes before an installation window- Participate and lead deployment teams (Bell technicians) during the installation process such as chassis removal, new fiber deployments, etc.- Perform redundancy tests after deployment- Provide post-installation support after deployment
