I served my country with distinction for 20 years of honorable service. In my service in the U.S. Army, I served as a logistics operations manager and senior logistics training development manager and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, totaling six tours. As of note, during my last deployment overseas, I was responsible for the retrograde, reset, redeployment, redistribution, and disposal (R4D) operations of Afghanistan; I managed the distribution of critical equipment for Iraq valued at more than $274 million. Moreover, my team spearheaded the acquisition of contract negotiation that was instrumental to the R4D operations, the accomplishment of closing 13 bases 51 days ahead of schedule, and provided cost savings of $274 million to the U.S. government, directed by the President of the United States.Furthermore, (following my retirement from the U.S. Army), I am a full-time student at Georgia Southern University (GSU). While attending GSU, I am a member and Vice President (VP) of Omicron Delta Kappa (The National Honor Society for Leaders), Armstrong Campus Circle, and serve as VP of Operations for Georgia Southern Logistics Association. Over and beyond this point, I maintain a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Business Administration (Supply Chain Management) with an emphasis in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation and minoring in Enterprise Resource Planning. Additionally, I completed an internship for a cold storage 3PL in the fall of 2021, serving as the shipping supervisor. While serving in this position, I oversaw and motivated a team of 18 associates to increase efficiency by 100%. I led the warehouse's Six Sigma initiatives to advance operational efficiencies and increase revenue by $3M. Moreover, my team's accomplishments led to an exemplary rating by the General Manager (GM) for successfully shipping the most product loads (with zero frustrated cargo and first-time go, both domestic and international shipments) of any shipping supervisor throughout the GM's tenure. Furthermore, I look forward to future logistics opportunities (internships and full-time employment).
