"My mission is to empower people to change the world" I believe this statement explains my outlook on life. My goal is to help people change the world no matter what. I work with students to help them achieve their lifelong goals and make dreams become reality. I specialize in educating, training, and recruiting people. During my previous tenure at Unifirst, I served as the District Service Supervisor for the Washington Metropolitan area. In this capacity, I supervised over 10 route sales representatives. In this role, I ensured the logistics of each route and the staffing necessary. With my leadership, we had a retention rate for our accounts, including the new accounts acquired that exceeded company expectations. As a member of the management staff, I was heavily involved with the hiring process, including selecting viable candidates for open positions, coordinating interviews with candidates, participating on the interview panel, and onboarding new personnel.. This required upholding standards of exceptional customer service, analyzing progress/results, and developing strategic recommendations in efforts to expand our portfolio.As a Special Education Teacher, I primarily worked with children who have special needs. I developed Individualized Education Plans in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004), facilitated IEP meetings, met with teaching cohorts, and participated in evaluation and referral meetings. Additionally, I administered testing to evaluate the student’s skill set and created data points to assess where the student is at their academic level. At the height of the pandemic, I was instrumental in establishing a virtual learning environment for students with learning disabilities. As a volunteer coach and HBCU grad, I regularly met with college coaches at events about specific recruiting initiatives for students in urban areas, specifically communities of color. I went to multiple schools (HBCU & PWI) with student-athletes to determine their next academic chapter. With my proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, I am confident that the explained above and my resume qualify me for consideration.
