I support all SNAP-Ed programming by using research to identify the characteristics and environments of our program's target audience. I use data to identify locations where our program ambassadors may offer education and other programs. I have provided training on various topics for program staff and worked to share program outcomes with federal stakeholders.Since 2017, I have been assigned to develop social marketing campaigns. This includes conducting formative research, working with graphic designers and other partners, disseminating promotion materials through social media and mass media, and evaluating campaigns. Beginning in 2019, I began oversight of policy, system, and environment (PSE) work. In this position, I help to monitor PSE work throughout the state. I also worked on developing protocols for adapting work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. Plan, organize, implement and evaluate educational programs in Family and Consumer Sciences and related fields. 2. Achieve outcomes that meet the critical needs of the people of Kane County in Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H Youth Development quality of life issues. 3. Utilize advisory committee(s) to ensure local citizen input in needs identification and priority setting. 4. Address and communicate the latest research-based information to assist county citizens. 5. Recruit, organize and support volunteer leaders. 6. Advertise Extension programs to the general public, prospective leaders and others. 7. Coordinate Extension programs with other universities, agencies and organizations. 8. Demonstrate teamwork attributes with fellow agents, specialists, and external agency personnel. 9. Evaluate and report program results to appropriate clientele. 10. Write grants and publish scholarly articles for both refereed and non-refereed publications. 11. Provide leadership for and development of 4-H/Youth programs. 12. Respond promptly and professionally to office visits, telephone calls, and correspondence. 13. Follow county budgetary guidelines. 14. Document program goals, objectives, outcomes, and impacts regularly using Utah State University's Digital Measures reporting system.

The EM Specialist: 1. Coordinates and performs the collection of air, dust, soil, mold, water and other samples for subsequent analysis. Identifies when samples should not be collected due to potential interferences (e.g., recent cleaning of area with a mixture that could interfere with monitoring results). 2. Conducts participant interview in order to complete survey instruments on the physical environment of the locations being sampled. Ensures proper handling of confidential materials and documents based on HIPAA, IRB, NIH and study related protocols. 3. Transports, set-ups and monitors proper use of monitoring equipment for collection of environmental measures. Records all applicable monitoring information ensuring compliance with study protocols and legal sufficiency of data. 4. Coordinates and reviews the work activities of other EM staff, which includes equipment technologists, visit preparation specialists and a warehouse manager. 5. Coordinates interactions with other data collectors and schedulers to prepare for home visits. May assist other field team members in administering questionnaires or collection of biological samples to make the visit flow smoothly. 6. Trains and certifies local study staff in one or more areas of relevant site office activities and or field data collection procedures. 7. Performs other related duties that support the goals and objectives of the NCS.
