I support all SNAP-Ed programming by using research to identify the characteristics and environments of our program's target audience. I use data to identify locations where our program ambassadors may offer education and other programs. I have provided training on various topics for program staff and worked to share program outcomes with federal stakeholders.Since 2017, I have been assigned to develop social marketing campaigns. This includes conducting formative research, working with graphic designers and other partners, disseminating promotion materials through social media and mass media, and evaluating campaigns. Beginning in 2019, I began oversight of policy, system, and environment (PSE) work. In this position, I help to monitor PSE work throughout the state. I also worked on developing protocols for adapting work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Environmental Monitoring Specialist
The EM Specialist: 1. Coordinates and performs the collection of air, dust, soil, mold, water and other samples for subsequent analysis. Identifies when samples should not be collected due to potential interferences (e.g., recent cleaning of area with a mixture that could interfere with monitoring results). 2. Conducts participant interview in order to complete survey instruments on the physical environment of the locations being sampled. Coordinates interactions with other data collectors and schedulers to prepare for home visits. May assist other field team members in administering questionnaires or collection of biological samples to make the visit flow smoothly. 6. Trains and certifies local study staff in one or more areas of relevant site office activities and or field data collection procedures. 7. Performs other related duties that support the goals and objectives of the NCS.
