Evaluated and provided remediation services to patients in the acute care and long term acute care setting with a focus on patients who have tracheostomies and/or are ventilator dependent. Treatment included dysphagia management, completion and interpretation of modified barium swallow studies, and tolerance of speaking valves to optimize communication. Also provided speech and language treatment to patients with cognitive communication impairments, aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, and degenerative diseases.

Fountainview Center For Alzheimer’s Disease Evaluate patients and collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, caregivers, and families to provide treatment and functional maintenance plans for individuals with early to late stage dementia with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in short and long term care.Annandale Village Provide diagnostic and treatment services to individuals age 21+ with diverse developmental and acquired disabilities, including Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, traumatic brain injury, aphasia, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease. Remediation focuses on expressive and receptive language, cognition, and dysphagia management.Interim Program Manager Responsible for case management and care planning, promote patient, family and caregiver communication and education, lead interdepartmental in-service rehabilitation presentations, ensure departmental compliance and productivity levels, collaborate with medical staff and MDS coordinators to identify and comply with RUG levels, serve as liaison with facility’s executives and administrators.
