With an eye for design and an urgency for accuracy, I have opened the door to a whole new chapter in my life. As I begin my duties as a Media Specialist at the Tulare County Resource Management Agency, I am reminded that opportunity and success can come to anyone, as long as resilience and courage are present.Helping people has always been my focal point. In 2019 I had never written a news article. Fast forward to 2020, I became editor-in-chief of an entire student news publication. I had originally transferred to Biola as a Psychology major, but just three days before classes started, I had a revelation after watching the movie “Spotlight” at a Chimes training. I always felt dissatisfied with a career that did not help people. In May of 2022, that is when I attained my Bachelors in Journalism. However, after 6 years of media specialty and 3 years as a reporter, my passion for teaching began to stir. I have worked in a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry, Crown Valley Youth Ranch, and served them faithfully for 6 years as their Media Specialist. My duties were primarily to design marketing material, write the bi-monthly newsletter, manage the website, and write blogs. I also helped coordinate events, manage media volunteers, served as a photographer and videographer, and also mentored at-risk youth. I have a solid understanding in most computer programs, video editing, and graphic design.
