I am currently PhD candidate in Dr. Barrett Caldwell's GROUPER at Purdue University. I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO), with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Dance in 2020. At Cal Poly, I was actively involved in student projects ranging from test driving a prototype solar car, training and performing with Cal Poly's dance company, leading a Venus rover design team, and organizing outreach events for local middle schools. In 2022, I received an MS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University with coursework focused on astrodynamics and aerospace systems engineering. My research evaluates distributed team performance in human spaceflight mission operations and task coordination to develop concept of operations (CONOPs) and requirements for information presentation systems. My dissertation will use this research to develop a proof-of-concept extended/virtual reality (XR/VR) training tool that implements high fidelity mission operating environments featuring state uncertainty and communication latencies between the crew and ground support.
