Experienced environmental educator with expertise in program development and implementation. Specifically, I have designed lessons and programs tailored to meet Maryland curriculum and environmental literacy standards for nonprofits and public school systems. I have extensive experience teaching students of all ages in formal and informal settings, with special interest in grade five through adult learners. I hold a B.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries from Frostburg State University, a graduate certificate in Environmental Education from Hamline University, and a MAEd: Natural Science & Environmental Education from Hamline University. With two years of AmeriCorps service behind me, it's clear volunteerism is a personal passion. I enjoy utilizing my interests and knowledge to mentor high school students to pursue their environmental interests. I'm familiar with mentoring students who are interested in pursuing projects relating to interpretation and climate justice.Additionally, I'm involved in a number of community organizations including Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) , National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), National Association for Interpretation (NAI), and the Maryland Ornithological Society. Beyond membership, I have presented at the annual MAEOE Conference (2023), I'm a planning committee member for the Western Maryland Chapter of NWTF (2019-present), and a planning committee member for the NAI Chesapeake Spring Workshop (2024).
