Currently Biodiversity Officer at Nillumbik Shire Council. Working with to promote biodiversity and nature in this amazing green wedge shire. Previously i was Senior Research Officer, working for Professor David Lindenmayer at the Fenner School for the Environment and Society at The Australian National University.I have managed the Victorian Long Term monitoring Program in the Central Highlands of Victoria for 18 years, including high quality field data collection, site management, data management, networking and logistics. I have extensive experience with bird surveys in South Eastern Australia, extensive experience with nocturnal fauna surveys including stagwatching, spotlighting, remote cameras and trapping/handling.Although a large part of my time is spent in the Tall Wet Forests of the Central Highlands in Victoria, i have also participated in field camps in regional Victoria and New South Wales, working on private and public land. This has involved bird surveys, reptile surveys and nocturnal fauna surveys.Communication, education and outreach of scientific information is a passion of mine, having lead or participated in countless field days, forest tours, conferences, large group field work, Television and radio programs.I have worked with multiple stakeholders including Parks Victoria, DEECA, Zoo's Victoria, Melbourne Water, VicForests and multiple community groups and friends groups.I have been a co author of 2 books, and co author on over 100 scientific publications.
