• Provide technical shift support to the TSL furnace and acid plant operators and maintainers during plant commissioning and ramp-up• Furnace charge management including prioritisation of high value materials and development of a metallurgical based SLA with existing operations• Furnace heat-up and ongoing hearth, refractory and taphole wear monitoring using thermo-couples, brick measurements and laser surveys• Propose, execute and report on plant scale metallurgical trials, including effects of coke vs coal, high feed rate, slag chemistry variations• Acid plant technical support including shutdown planning, NOx control, RCAs and variance processes for unplanned downtime • Implementing management of change for process improvement projects including leading 2 HAZOP studies for acid plant improvements• Set-up ongoing monitoring of key process parameters for furnace and acid plant systems including dashboards and event frames using OSIsoft PI systems

• Lead commissioning engineer for TSL furnace sub-systems and assistant commissioning engineer for the wet gas cleaning and acid plants• Cold and hot commissioning with a hands-on approach providing direct leadership and supervision of operations and maintenance activities• Problem solving process, mechanical and electrical commissioning issues to keep ramp-up schedule on track• Management of overseas vendors, contractors and operations support in completing commissioning documentation and performance guarantees• Risk assess all commissioning activities, creating a safe work environment through JSEA’s, isolations and PTW systems• Provide technical support for process and safety incident investigations • Daily and weekly reporting of progress, current issues and schedule risks to site senior management

Electrolysis metallurgist (4 months) Project Metallurgist (2 months)• Day-to-day process analysis, operations support and problem solving for the electrolysis department• Implementation of ‘clean and straight’ cellhouse campaign and improvement projects• Managing process safety risks and operating methodology during 2 planned electrolysis shutdowns• Progressing optimisation projects for pH control and spent acid cooling on a limited capital basis• Monthly metals accounting, byproducts, shipping and consumptions reporting using SAP
