As part of the joint researcher role, I provided new story-telling and script development angles for long-form content. I also had the opportunity to research and develop other methods such as companion apps and tie-ins. During my time at RadaR, I was given multiple opportunities to support and develop ongoing documentary and lifestyle content. My contributions were ultimately utilized in a successful pitching process. This online-based experience allowed me to work independently while meeting the producer's goals through a highly fast-moving COVID-19 climate while dealing with challenging timezone differences between the western and eastern hemispheres. Initially, my role was to last three months, but the company extended it for an additional two months. My primary responsibilities were to develop social and digital channels. I was responsible for building content for the company’s Linkedin page and creating a social selling toolkit for the business development team. I was also responsible for content on the company website, including News and Blogs. I served my two years in the Singapore Armed Forces as an infantry trooper, achieving the rank of Corporal First Class (CFC) by the end of my service and placing me as 2IC (second in command) of my section. The rank of CFC is only gained through hard work, dedication, and exhibiting leadership abilities beyond the regular enlisted trooper. The challenge of being a 2IC enabled me to develop and expand my leadership and communication skills as I was tasked with making sure my team was ready and meeting both standards and timings, meaning I was responsible for helping out troopers who had issues with fitness, training, and many other aspects. This experience has taught me many skills that are applicable such as the ability to motivate my team and enhance my problem-solving and a greater understanding of organization and planning. The highlight of my summer job at Marina Bay Sands was when I worked as a camera assistant for a filmed interview for director John Woo. I also covered charitable events and was able to step into an apprentice photographer role. One of my photos was used on the company's social media stream and picked up by the local newspaper.
