I am currently looking to work in mining as an excavator operator primarily, although I am more than happy to start as a dump truck driver or a position that can build to being an all-rounder operator in the future. I have a lot of experience with earthmoving equipment and trucks locally in Perth, although I am wanting to get into open pit mining/quarry work. I understand that prior open pit experience is needed for most positions, so I am hoping to gain a position that is suitable for me to get my foot in the door at least, possibly being a traineeship. I am available to start work immediately.
