As an EUO I provided expert utility assistance to local councils helping to resolve outstanding utility issues, look for cost savings, improve processes and procedures and gain stakeholder engagement through a utility committee setup to resolve issues. As the role didn't exist before I started my colleague and myself created the processes, designed the spreadsheets required for issues and billing management, conducted site investigations and put together a training manual for new contracts. Time management was paramount as issues would arise all at once and each one had to be categorized correctly in a process driven system. I found this role very satisfying, i built excellent relationships with clients and really felt like i was making a difference finding cost savings and improving a system that needed some expert assistance. I also enabled communication between departments by organizing meetings to resolve old issues that just required better communication.I still managed and conducted GPS projects for local government throughout Australia and assisting with any GIS or mapping requirements in the company.To create these GPS data sets for councils I used Trimble GPS units, ArcGIS 10 and provided a consolidated shapefile database to the councils GIS team. This information was provided to the local council for the use of all internal stakeholders and enabled more detailed desktop site investigation. At AirTech i was responsible for the planning, operation and production of aerial mapping projects. Mission planning tasks involved working with ESRI GIS products, specialist aerial survey software, detailed weather planning and consultation with pilots to ensure the flights would be successful and of high standard. Conducting the flights involved days over the area of operation capturing high resolution images for a variety of clients. The production stage involved our small team to process the large volume of images and create a super high resolution aerial map. The production involved using a variety of GIS software to stitch the map and create 3D digital elevation models. Detailed error checking was essential to remove image artifacts and provide a high level of quality to the clients.

I run a wedding photography business in Victoria and have the privilege of being a part of a couples wedding. I have learnt how to take the best photos possible and ensure that the wedding day runs smoothly and my photo processing is completed systematically. I have also had the opportunity to learn how to control and photograph very large groups of people, often well over 200 people. My communication skills have become tuned to enable me to photograph a couple, set them up for the best compositions and keep them happy, relaxed and stress free. My attention to detail is a key part of getting excellent candid photos in the moment, I must always be watching the people around me for photo opportunities and being able to apply my technical photographic skills to capture the moment at the correct exposure and composition.I have also done freelance work for websites, local news papers, product photos, apartment buildings and portraits.
