I am a researcher, writer, teacher and editor with over 12 years of experience in topics related to cities, culture and the environment. Originally from Canada, from 2015 to 2022 I worked in the Department of Geography at HKBU in Hong Kong, where I was fortunate to contribute to exciting research with collaborators around the world. While there I led projects about heritage conservation and urban mobility funded by competitive grants. My writing has appeared in a wide range of publications, including leading academic journals. As a teacher I have taught and mentored over a thousand students in Hong Kong and Canada, and in the process have become a skilled cross-cultural communicator and dynamic public speaker. I am fluent in French and speak some German, Spanish and Cantonese. In my spare time I am an avid trail runner and have competed in distances up to 100km.
