My name is Lachlan Church, and I am a student at Griffith University, Gold Coast. I aspire to become a Physiotherapist, specialising in the field of high-performance sports injuries. I am a keen musician and sportsman, and I enjoy challenging myself physically and mentally. My employment and education experience has given me many skills that are transferrable to a profession in health and include: Teamwork: Playing team sport to a high level and working with a large staff has given me many teamwork skills that are essential in the profession of Physiotherapy. Physiotherapists predominantly work as a team to aid in client diagnosis and further their education in the profession.Leadership: I was sports captain at Tamborine Mountain State High School in 2019 and also captained my Junior Premier League soccer team in 2018. In these roles, I learned the importance of leadership to achieve team success and motivation. This skill will be extremely helpful in the Physiotherapy health profession as all jobs require working with other professionals. Communication: Good communication is essential in any profession. Once again, my sporting and employment experience has allowed me to develop excellent communication skills that will be extremely useful in any health profession.
