Lachlan worked as a Project Engineer working across two separate sections of the Princes Highway Upgrade in the Gippsland region: 1. Princes Highway Duplication Traralgon, between Stammers Road and Minniedale Road 2. Princes Highway Duplication Nambrok, East of Denison Road to West of Nambrok Road These projects were designed to improve safety along Gippsland’s major highway. The two sections were valued at over $25 Million and included earthworks, drainage, pavements and minor structural works among other activities.

As a Site Engineer, Lachlan worked as part of the $2.25 billion upgrade of the Western Ring Road (M80) in Victoria, delivering the section from the Calder Freeway to Sydney Road. Project works in this section of the upgrade included many new bridges, freeway widening, urban design structures, reinforced earth structures and a Freeway Management System.

As a Graduate Engineer, Lachlan’s responsibilities included: - Managing safety, personnel, quality and program of two pipeline construction crews. - Cost tracking, planning and estimating works for the VicRoads Metro Resurfacing contract. - Working as a site manager of resurfacing works in the city of Port Phillip. - Redesigning the workshop department plant tracking system and the parks department jobs register to increase efficiencies. - Mapping the Tynong Quarry and investigating scope of possible new quarry site.
