I work to improve the health of the land we all share, and to speed up the transition to net-zero emissions (and beyond). I do this by facilitating investment or launching new businesses, products and services that achieve commercial and environmental outcomes. ________________________________________________________________My Why: I love the land. I believe that changing the way we produce food and fibre is the best pathway towards a healthier planet. I'm fascinated by agricultural systems and the interactions between soil, plants, animals, and humans. I'm focused on carbon farming, carbon insetting, carbon neutrality, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity offsetting, natural capital, supply chain sustainability, and other cutting-edge approaches to sustainable food production. I also believe that we are at a once-in-a-generation transition point in time, where the incentives exist to encourage a mass-scale redesign of our agricultural landscapes to re-integrate trees.Transforming agricultural landscapes is what floats my boat.________________________________________________________________I'm a builder, not a dreamer. I thrive on tackling challenges and new opportunities, especially if they are complex and there is no beaten path to follow. I'm skilled at conceptualising solutions, developing products and services, and communicating them to others. I like to get hands-on during the startup phase: creating the spreadsheet model, drafting the first version of the report, testing with customers, delivering the pitch, writing copy for the website. I have the attention to detail needed to build systems and processes for roll-out, and I can attract and empower the talented people needed to achieve commercial success. I commercialise ideas and build businesses to thrive for the long term.

LGF is investing in **asset backed carbon**. We will acquire agricultural land that is undervalued for carbon farming purposes. We will then work in partnership with leading carbon service providers to develop the property for carbon farming, with a solid focus on biodiverse environmental plantings. We will ensure that prime agricultural land remains in food production by leasing the agricultural land to regenerative farmers, who will increase the natural capital value of the land. The fund will provide competitive returns in the form of carbon credits or cash (investors choice), is backed by real assets with a 20 year history of 8.4% annual appreciation, is counter cyclical to the market, has no direct exposure to agricultural operations and can offer a portfolio hedge against carbon price exposure. All via a flexible "choose-what-you-need" service offering that serves a specific niche of landowners. In the first 2 years we achieved 200% of our targets, with 80% of the anticipated budget. We also developed and launched a software product, with a farmer-centric user experience, to fill a critical gap in service availability. So far, Carbon Scout has helped to assess the financial viability of carbon projects on over 50,000 hectares of land.We also deliver a range of education and outreach material to help demystify carbon farming.
