In my current position as Senior Manager of Work Ready Oklahoma Statewide Expansion I oversee the project of implementing Work Ready sites across Oklahoma. Work Ready Oklahoma is project funded by the Oklahoma Human Services that assists unemployed or underemployed Oklahomans find opportunities that lead to self-sufficiency.Prior to my current position I was the Director of the GEAR UP for MY SUCCESS grant at the University of Oklahoma’s K20 Center. This grant focuses on assisting students, their families, and school staff in 24 rural Oklahoma public schools find their future pathway through college and career readiness initiatives. In my previous role at the K20 Center I served as the Community & Parent Coordinator for GEAR UP for the PROMISE and worked with 15 different middle and high schools in OKC School district. In addition to my role with the GEAR UP grants I also serve as the co-chair for the annual professional development conference, Innovative Learning Institute. I work closely with the venue and vendors to ensure timelines and budgets are not exceeded, design the best layout for proper flow, review BEO's, and coordinate with conference committee chairs. Previously I served as the Associate Director of Career Services and the Assistant Director of Admissions at DeVry University, Oklahoma City Campus. In my time at DeVry University I have received recognition for being the first "ReadyNow" management training graduate and received the Top-Hitter award for the highest amount of personally developed inquires in the South-Central region. I recruited new students and helped them to identify which program best fit their goals. From there I helped through the entire admissions and enrollment process through the first day of class. I also managed a group ten Admissions Advisors to reach their enrollment goals, the work-study student program, and administrative staff.
